] Darlington Mental Health Floating Support
This project aims to give advice and assistance to all those clients referred by the Darlington Community Mental Health Team. An outreach service is held in Reflections, Woodlands Road. Alternatively a client can meet at a venue more convenient to them.
Our Advisor offers help and assistance in finding accommodation from all sectors and supports the client initially into the tenancy. The client will then be signposted and/or referred, if necessary, to other agencies for ongoing independent living support. In addition the service offers access to agencies and specialists in other fields and assists the client in applying for grants, bonds and other benefits. The Advisor also liaises with other institutions on the client's behalf, encouraging the service user to take control when and if appropriate, according to their mental health issues.
