] Remain Safe & Sanctuary Schemes
County Durham
The Remain Safe Scheme identifies residents who are vulnerable to crime and/or the fear of crime and provides and installs home security equipment, free of charge, tailored to their needs. The types of equipment available for installation include window locks, door guards, exterior lighting and smoke detectors. Shed bars, key safes, five lever mortice locks, door bell intercoms and occasionally more sophisticated equipment such as CCTV and burglar alarms.
Newcastle
The Newcastle Sanctuary Scheme identifies those residents who are vulnerable to crime and/or the fear of crime and provides and installs home security equipment, free of charge, tailored to their needs.
