Below are street names that are used to describe certain drugs, please note that these drugs do have regional variations on names.

cannabis leafCannabis
Blow, weed, hash, grass, skunk, are among the many names cannabis is known by. Usually smoked and mixed with tobacco, it can be added to food such as cakes and comes in various forms, the most common being resin. It can be bought in leaf form or as an oil. It causes a sense of euphoria and relaxation.

lsd tabLSD
Acid, trips or tabs is an hallucinogen that comes in liquid form, paper sheets or available in small capsules. The paper the LSD is absorbed into is cut into small squares with pictures or designs on them. LSD is a powerful hallucinogen and it only takes small amounts to start tripping. You usually take LSD orally.

cocaineCocaine
Charlie, coke and snow is a strong but brief effect. The most common form of cocaine is a white powder which is snorted through a rolled bank note or a straw. It can also be prepared for injection and smoked.

ecstasy tabEcstasy
Cowies, disco biscuits, love doves and E's. Ecstasy is an illegal drug which usually comes in tablet or capsule form. You can get different coloured tablets or pills with pictures, designs or logos. It is classed as an hallucinogenic, effects are similar to LSD and speed.


amphetaminesAmphetamines
Amphetamine sulphate, speed, whizz, phet or pink champagne is usually swallowed, snorted or injected. It can taste bitter or acrid and is usually white. Amphetamine is a stimulant mixed with caffeine, glucose powder, paracetamol and pro-plus. If injected it becomes a Class A drug offence.
