|CYPF icon] Health Advocacy
Our Health Advocacy Service in Easington and Sedgefield is available to everyone aged 16 and over. We can advocate for people who have no voice or who cannot speak up for themselves or even people who don’t have the knowledge or confidence to question the Health Care they are receiving.

We want to aim to help you to self-advocate or advocate on behalf of a friend or family member. Our Advocates inform you of the options available to you and draw up a plan of action.

We Advocate one issue at a time, however, appreciating that health issues often create more than one issue, we will re-refer you for alternate issues as often as they need. Our aim is to resolve issues at the earliest and most informal opportunities therefore we work with you for no longer than 4 months on each issue.

All decisions are made by you and all the actions performed by the Advocate are instructed by what you request.

How Can I Get On This Project?

If you live in Easington or Sedgefield and aged 16+ come along to the office or call us, other agencies can also recommend you to attend the programme.
